Understanding the types of RTD sensors is important when selecting a suitable temperature measurement solution for industrial applications. Simplex and duplex RTD sensors are commonly used where accurate, stable, and reliable temperature monitoring is required.
A simplex RTD sensor contains a single RTD sensing element, making it suitable for standard temperature measurement and control applications. A duplex RTD sensor, on the other hand, contains two independent sensing elements within the same probe. This duplex type RTD configuration can support separate monitoring, control, or backup measurement from a single installation point.
Our duplex Pt100 sensor and simplex configurations are available with Pt100, J, or K elements. Temperature ranges include -50 to 500°C, 0 to 600°C, and up to 1200°C, depending on the sensing element. Probe diameters range from 6 to 16 mm, with lengths from 50 to 5000 mm. Accuracy options include Class A or Class B as per IEC 60751.
Sheath materials include SS304, SS316, SS310, Inconel, and other materials based on application requirements.
Different types of resistance temperature detector configurations can be supplied with threaded, flanged, sanitary, or other process connections. As an experienced Pt100 RTD sensor supplier, we provide customised RTD sensor types for demanding industrial temperature measurement applications.
