The RTD sensor with thermowell is designed for accurate and reliable temperature measurement in industrial processes where the sensing element requires protection from corrosive or aggressive media. This configuration combines a Pt100 RTD element with a PTFE/Teflon-coated thermowell for enhanced chemical resistance and dependable performance.
The sensor is available with Pt100 simplex or duplex configurations and operates across a temperature range of -50 to 250°C. Probe diameters of 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm and probe lengths from 25 to 1000 mm can be provided according to application requirements. Accuracy options include Class A or Class B as per IEC 60751.
The PTFE thermowell provides a protective barrier against acids, alkalis, solvents, and other aggressive chemicals. This makes the temperature sensor with thermowell suitable for chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food and beverage, and wastewater treatment applications.
A Teflon sensor configuration offers excellent non-stick and corrosion-resistant properties, helping reduce contamination, material buildup, and maintenance requirements. The Teflon RTD sensor can also be customised with suitable probe dimensions, wiring configurations, and process connections.
